Application Deadline or First Review: 10/23/2026

Hallandale Beach sits gracefully between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, offering a rare blend of coastal tranquility and metropolitan convenience. It’s a place where residents and visitors can enjoy the energy of South Florida’s major cities while returning home to a community that feels relaxed, welcoming, and distinctly its own. With its scenic shoreline, vibrant local culture, and strong sense of neighborhood pride, Hallandale Beach provides an easy escape from the rush of urban life without ever giving up access to world‑class amenities, entertainment, and recreation. It’s a city that feels both laidback and connected – a great place to live, work, and unwind.

Hallandale Beach is a dynamic, evolving community, and the next Director of Public Works will step into a role filled with both opportunity and complexity. The city is experiencing steady growth, shifting community expectations, and increasing demands on essential services. This role calls for a leader who can navigate change, inspire teams, and keep the city moving forward with confidence.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, public administration, business administration or a related field, and ten or more years’ utilities experience and at least three years of supervisory or management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.

The salary range is $113,235 to $192,500. The salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Benefits are excellent.
