The Town of New Gloucester, Maine is currently accepting resumes for the position of Town Manager. New Gloucester is a vibrant community of approximately 5,900 citizens. New Gloucester has a Town Meeting/Select Board/Manager form of government and an annual municipal operating budget of $5.3 million and 20 FT and 38 PT employees.
The Select Board is seeking a driven individual with strong financial management and budgeting skills; experience in economic, and community development. Must have demonstrated organizational leadership abilities; grant acquisition and administrative knowledge, experience with roads and public works, the ability to communicate successfully with citizens, staff, and the Select Board. Candidates should possess a solid background in responsible best practices including HR, technology, and employee relations; a willingness to continue learning about municipal operations. A Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration or a related field is desirable. Candidates with equivalent work experience and training are encouraged to apply.
