The City Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City, overseeing the implementation and management of policies established by the City Council while providing strategic input, analysis, and recommendations on policy matters. This role involves planning and developing city programs and initiatives, as well as supervising all municipal staff—excluding Police and Library personnel—through department heads or program managers. Additionally, the City Administrator acts as the City’s personnel officer and public information officer, ensuring effective communication and operational excellence across all municipal functions. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree strongly preferred) in public administration, business administration, or a closely-related field, and 5-8 years of experience in municipal government, with leadership and supervisory experience in community development, economic development, and general government administration.
