The Meriden Housing Authority (MHA) is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. Reporting directly to the Board of Commissioners, the Executive Director serves as the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer and leads the strategic, operational, and financial management of all public housing and federally assisted housing programs. This is a unique opportunity to guide a mission-driven organization committed to expanding affordable housing opportunities and strengthening the quality of life for residents throughout the City of Meriden.
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of leadership in affordable housing, community development, or public sector management. The Executive Director will oversee organizational operations, financial stewardship, capital redevelopment initiatives, and regulatory compliance while serving as the public face of the Authority with residents, government partners, HUD officials, and community stakeholders. This position requires a dynamic leader with strong strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a commitment to advancing innovative housing solutions.
The salary range for this position is $150,000–$175,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension (CT MERS), health, dental, and life insurance benefits.
