With roughly 40,000 year-round residents, 2.5 million annual visitors, a ~$175M budget, and ~300 employees, the Town of Hilton Head Island blends thoughtful planning with coastal character.
In this managerial role, you’ll translate strategy into results—overseeing key operating areas including Engineering & Projects, Facilities, Planning, and Technology & Innovation. You’ll drive customer-centric service through the Permitting Center; guide long-range planning and development review; lead delivery of the Capital Improvement Program; and advance transportation, stormwater, resiliency, and beach operations that protect quality of life and the Island’s natural beauty. You’ll also champion data-driven performance, digital transformation, and cross-department collaboration that elevates transparency and trust. As a key member of the Town’s leadership team, the Assistant Town Manager will ensure the effective implementation of the Town Council’s Strategic Action Plan, guide departments in delivering exceptional services, and foster innovation and collaboration across the organization.
